Let’s Play With Numbers!

Fanservice FTW will be 4 months old on November 3, which means we've survived longer than nearly 500,000 children also born in July, according to current birth and infant mortality rate estimates.  To celebrate, let's go over some usage information and spin it into favorable statistics!

First off, let's look at Page Views.  That means every page that's loaded from our site, be it the front page, gallery, blog, or forums.  And, as of right now, we've had 9,922 Page Views.

You may be thinking "What?! Over 9000?!".  Perhaps your choice of punctuation is slightly different, to better reflect the ratio of question to exclamation you wish to express.  And with good reason.  Because, as far as I can tell, this site has absolutely no redeeming qualities, or inherent value whatsoever.  But you clearly don't agree, or you wouldn't be reading this.  Or maybe you do agree, and are rather bad at protesting.  Either way, you're one of those numbers now.  Thanks.

Next we'll check out some actual visitor data.  Obviously, the first thing you want to know is, "How many visitors is there?"  However, you must remember to adhere to the rule of subject-verb agreement.  So we will instead find out how many visitors there are.  Now, there are two ways in which this question can be answered.  One would be 734.  The other is 2,414.  The first number is what Google likes to call "Absolute Unique Visitors".  That means it's a count of each person who has come here at least once.  You could say it represents our userbase.  The second number is a count of visits registered.  Several of these can be from one visitor, or first time visits.  It's not as indicitive of how many people are on Fanservice, but it does give us an idea of how often you guys view the site.  Also, we can get the average number of visits per user from these.  Math tells us that it's 3.3 visits, but my heart tells me that we're in your mind far more often.  How often?  Well, 70% of you have at least come a second time, and 48% of you have been here at least 10 times.  That's 352 of you that regularly check up on us!  I hope we can add more and more people to that count.  There are even 30 people who have been over a hundred times.  Congrats guys, you're the core of Fanservice.

And, of course, we intend to reward our visitors for their support, so I would like to officially present the first ever Fan of the Month.  This title goes to the visitor who we thinks stands out for some reason.  The prize, of course, is INTERNET FAME, and the adulation of hundreds of other Fans.  So, without first ado, I will present the award.

The title of Fan of the Month of October goes to an unidentified visitor from Berwyn, Pennsylvania.  Berwyn won this award for what we believe is the funniest discovery of Fanservice ever.  He found us by Googling "/love_hina danbooru", the 8th result (currently) of which brought him to a picture hosted in our gallery.  This alone is amusing, but true humor of the situation stems from the picture that his search brought him to...

Quite the reward itself.  So congratulations, Berwyn, Pennsylvania, you are our first Fan of the Month.
